“Campaign for the Cure 2012”

Let’s get ready for some "boot in the Arse" fundraising this year! This year's “Campaign for the Cure 2012” is in great honor of a friend, TNT coach, husband, and father -- John Park. John was taken from us too soon during the “Nations Triathlon” in DC this past September. I am a part of a large group of "John Park's Champions," who are striving together to raise $100,000 for the Leukemia & Lypmhoma Society for a research fund in John's name.

This spring I am coaching the DC marathon team with my coaching friends Wendy and Joe. The marathons we are coaching are the Nations marathon in DC, Shamrock marathon in Virginia Beach, the Country Music marathon in Nashville and the Madrid marathon -- what great events!

As always, all money donated will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is tax deductable. Please hit the donate button and make a difference in the lives of patients battling blood cancers.

On a personal note, I am grateful to have celebrated my THIRTEENTH year as a leukemia survivor this past fall. And this year's, Campaign for the Cure 2012 includes my book release online! “An Ironman’s Guide to Surviving Cancer,” written by me, is available for purchase. My english teachers are rolling over in their graves! A percentage of the proceeds from the book will be going to cancer research to help “Fund the Cure”! If you donate $250 or more I will send you a free book!
